When horses have always been in your heart, you want to show your love. What better way than with horse jewelry? 25 years ago, Peggy Jane Matzie, better known as “Jane Heart,” turned her love of horses into a unique and distinctive line of jewelry especially for horse people. Now she’s celebrating 25 years of success!

The inspiration for Jane Heart Jewelry came when Jane was unable to find a horse head belt buckle that she liked. With a background in upscale retail executive management for the nation’s top stores and a passion for fine jewelry, she decided to design her own sterling silver buckle… and started a business. The company has grown from there and now offers Horse Jewelry Collections ranging from disciplines such as Dressage and Hunter/Jumper to breeds including Arabian, Quarter Horse and others., with new designs continually being added. Other Collections include jewelry depicting donkeys and mules, dog breeds, foxes and silver crosses.

Fans of Jane Heart Jewelry notice the exquisite attention to detail and accuracy of the pieces. Jane often hears the comment, “It looks just like MY horse!” The craftsmanship is second to none, too – every piece is cast individually in sterling silver and hand-polished by a master silversmith resulting in horse jewelry that keeps its beauty forever. Jane’s timeless designs are made to be treasured and worn with pride.

One of the highlights of Jane’s 25 years is the creation of the Famous Racehorse Collection. In 2008 she was privileged to design horse jewelry that captures the likeness of Barbaro, the beloved Kentucky Derby winner. Following that was jewelry for Secretariat, Man o’ War, American Pharoah and Justify. Jane Heart Jewelry is proud to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these licensed designs to various equine charities, including the Secretariat Foundation, the  Permanently Disabled Jockey’s Fund (PDJF) and the Fund for Laminitis Research.

Jane Heart followed her heart to found a company combining two great loves – horses and jewelry. For 25 years she’s brought the most elegant and original designs to equestrians and animal lovers. She is always in the studio and looks forward to introducing new horse jewelry that’s sure to delight her fans, both new and old!
